Are you speaking to me? My answer is for BowBowDaijin. I used the word "judges" just because he/she had used it. I know what you pointed out. I'm a big fan of Mao, and have no intention to bash her. I think this technical specialist judged too rigidly.

When I watched this performance live, the commentators said the second 3A was not counted as a 3A. So does it mean that she missed 1/4 turn? But everything seems perfect to me. Novice fans like me dont really care about tiny detail. Anyway, if she cleanly does 3A-2T, 3F-3Lo, and she doesnt slip at the end, can she expect to get 10 points more? or 15 points more? I cant wait to see her another achievement.

I have never ever seen a lady figure skating program this poweful and so glorious as this performance by Mao Asada.
It is not only her jumps,two 3axels,one in a combination(3A/2T),6 triple jumps in all but all these incredible spins and the text-book spiral sequence. and somehow muster enough strength and power to complete this:
Glorious, Magnificent, Incredible, Splendid, Extraordinary, Majestic and "out of this World" straight line steps!

Obviously you are one of the "copy & paste" brigade coming over Mao's forum to bash Mao? am I correct?LOL
Please learn the Figure Skating Rule before you start giving a lecture to someone with some knowledge of FS.
First: it is NOT the Judges determine the UR
it is done by the Tech Panel, more specifically by the technical specialist.
Second: in order to DG a jump..it must be cheated more than 1/4 turn on the landing.
I respectfully disagree with this TS's ruling.

I don't quite understand some of you are always questioning why Mao did not do this jump or that jump combo? This is what I saw from Mao's SP & LP at the 2008 NHK.
SP: 3F/3Lo..3Lz..2A
LP: 3A..3A/2T..3F/2Lo/2Lo..3S..3T..2A
Do you get the Big Picture? Mao has landed every major Triple jumps in the book.
This will allow coach Tarasova and Mao to figure out how to maximize the TES(tech element score). I believe coach Tarasova is looking toward 2009 Worlds & 2010 Vancouver.

in an interview with shizuka arakawa, she said that this long program of mao is meant for men's long program bec the scale is high.. not like the other songs, masquerade waltz deosn't have slow parts so the 4 mins of the program from beginning to end is really hard!!but seeing mao skate to this perfectly is simply wonderful..!!! keep it up mao!!amazing!! i almost cried when i saw this on TV!

Mao is just amazing. If we are what we eat, it must be also true that we are what we see. Whenever I see Mao's performance, I am enhanced and very happy. Behind her performance, enormous amout of efforts, devotion, cries and joys, and an undaunted mind are hidden. I can feet that. I realy pity those who are slandering her performance and never appreciate its significance. They are losing one of the most wonderful stuffs of life.

Mao looks like a trampy robot on ice. Her facial expression looks like someone who is in a hurry to make jumps and prearranged body gestures, just to fulfill the scoring requirements. That's not a mark of #1 skater in the world. No wonder why she is currently ranked #2.

Can anybody tell me whether I understand is right? Perhaps the program fixed as 3A+2T and next 3A so although Mao tried 3A and next 3A+2T, the judges judged only 3A and 3A. And her second 3A was UR, so 2T was not counted.
I think this program will developed from 3F+3L,3F to 3F+3L,3Lz soon after her Lutz is stable to get bonus.

Mao does not skate well in foreign countries. After reading comments by people like almightymao, I can see why Japanese are the most racist country in the world. Mao is currently ranked as #2, and will stay that way until she retires. Her pitiful efforts will be just that.

I don't understand why there are all these critics out there that scrutinize her skating abilities as if performing live in from of an INTERNATIONAL audience is easy. She just did two triple axels!
Mao is constantly working hard to overcome all the pressure. She just proved it by skating the way she did despite all the doubts from her last event, incorporating more diverse types of jumps, and she has really took the summer to work on her lutz.
Mao is truly a prodigy on ice.
