MANILA, Philippines — Not heart attack but just a common diarrhea aborted First Gentleman Jose Miguel “Mike" Arroyo’s trip to Peru, his doctors said on Saturday.

The First Gentleman was with President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s delegation on their way to the Peruvian capital, Lima, for the 16th Asia- Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit on Friday night when he complained of back pain and stomach cramps.
First Gentlemanは、ペルーの資本（リマ）へ行く途中で、グロリアマカパガルアロヨ大統領の代表派遣団とともにありました第16のアジアが-彼が背中の痛みと胃の痛みを訴えた金曜日の夜に太平洋Economic Cooperation（APEC）サミット。

A chartered plane carrying the delegation was forced to make an emergency landing in Osaka, Japan at about 9 p.m. Friday and the First Gentleman was taken to a hospital.

Officials earlier said the First Gentleman was discharged after it was diagnosed that the pain he suffered had nothing to do with his heart problems.

The First Gentleman did not face a horde of media people who welcomed him at SLMC but her doctors came out to explain that what happened was really life-threatening.

Dr. Rommel Carino, who was with the team in Japan, explained that they had to go and check on the First Gentleman in Osaka because he was still under therapy for a triple heart bypass operation in April last year.

MANILA, Philippines - Listed Cityland Development Corp. sought regulatory approval on Friday to sell to the public short-term commercial debt worth P900 million to finance three projects and pay off maturing loans. The commercial debt will pay 6% interest and mature in a year.

TOKYO - Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's plane made an emergency landing in Japan on Friday after her husband fell ill on board, airport police said.

Mrs Arroyo was on her way from Manila to attend the 21-nation Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Lima, Peru.

The plane landed at Kansai International Airport in western Japan, an airport police official said on condition of anonymity, citing department policy.

MANILA, Philippines – Makati will replace the incandescent lamps in 10 of its public markets with fluorescent ones to save on energy costs, according to the city's Department of Environmental Services (DES).

Under its Palit-Ilaw campaign, the city will turn over 20-watt compact fluorescent lamps and 36-watt T8 lamps to the administrators of the markets.

North Cotabato Vice-Gov. Emmanuel F. Piñol said the provincial government will form a body to investigate the reports.

Auto parts makers plan to mass-produce electric jeepneys as the Land Transportation Office has issued license plates for the pioneering unit that is being used in Makati City.

MANILA, Philippines—Foreigners who employ at least 10 Filipinos can stay in the country indefinitely.

President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on Monday signed the new rules for foreigners in hopes of providing more jobs for Filipinos in anticipation of an economic slowdown next year.
