The next Isaiah Thomas played his first game for the Huskies and it was a good one.  Of course the opposition wasn't Div 1, but hopefully the UW basketball season will be a lot less painful than the Mariners, Seahawks or UW Football.

Gotta start learning about ths Sounders.

I kinda assumed that Kim Ng or Jerry Dipoto would get it, but Jack Zduriencik is the new GM of the M's.  The new GM of the first team to lose a 100 games with a payroll over 100 MM USD.  My hopes are up since he did build the Brewers through the draft, but then again Bill Bavasi was also supposed to be good at building up the farm.  Hopefully, he can do a better job than Bavasi at scouting free agents.   And hopefully, Howard Lincoln and Chuck Armstrong didn't reach their decision just because they felt they were talking to a kindred spirit.  The Seattle Times has my hopes both high and low at the same time.

The cereal I ordered online the other day was purchased by the retailer at Costco.  Not that I have any complaints, saved me from taking a trip over there.

Was going to write a post about going to Krispy Kreme with a fellow exchange student from Nanjing University who I met in Tokyo for the first time in ten years.  Unfortunately, Vox on FF3 kept on eating up my post when I tried editing the picts, so here are the picts, the story was mediocre anyway.
南京大学で一緒にアメリカから勉強しに来ていた友だちとの１０年ぶりの再会にクリスピークリームに行った話を２回ほど書いたが、Voxが消し去るので、諦めてフォトをメインに。

I imagine that this isn't as funny if you're in the US and I'm not trying to ridicule a US public official, but this almost reminds me of PM Mori at his worst.  Of course, Mori wasn't trying to impress by showing his grasp of issues, he was almost belligerent in his acceptance of what he lacked. . .which didn't make anything better for the Japanese, but it was funny at time.

Edit: On second thought the word that comes to mind when watching Mori or Palin is surreal.

Finally broke down and went to Costco the other day (albeit with someone else's card), it was just like Costco in the US with some local brands and crowds that were a lot bigger.  The best buy of the day was the double bag of Quaker Natural Granola Cereal I got.  Sooo good, too good that I ordered a few more bags online to hold me over for my next Costco trip.

先日ついにコストコに行った。カード作る列も長いし面倒だから、友達のカードを借りた。川崎のお店に行ったが、外には車の列があった。。。が結構すぐ（30分ぐらい）に駐車できた。お店の中はアメリカとほとんど同じ、日本のブランドがアメリカのお店よりは多かったぐらい？後はホットドッグは牛肉だけ売っていた、アメリカのは肉は2-3種類あったはず。

そんなに買い物はしなかったが一番当たったのはクエーカーナチュラルグラノラシリアル、おいしい。1ｋｇのバッグ二つで1700円ぐらい？次コストコ行くのはいつかわからないし、楽天で追加オーダーしてしまった。

A friend has been working on this for a couple of months now and it just launched today. Everymoment Now .  It's easier to figure out by just going to the site and seeing it in action, but from the about page:
